Welcome to the OBU Division of Music

Students who choose to study in the OBU Division of Music will have the opportunity to be mentored by exceptional faculty members who are experts in their chosen specialties; broadly-versed scholars; and experienced, working musicians. Our music faculty members serve the OBU community because they are passionate about teaching. More importantly, they teach on Bison Hill because they are dedicated to guiding the personal growth of students according to Jesus' example. They have committed themselves to partnering in the transformational process called for in our OBU mission statement.

At OBU, large ensemble opportunities abound: men's glee club, women's glee club, mixed choir, symphonic band, athletic/marching band, jazz band, orchestra, opera, and musical theatre. Be a part of one or more of these great performing traditions. But also join a small ensemble to take your musicianship to new heights: touring opera group, flute ensemble, trumpet ensemble, early music ensemble, worship team, and more.

We would love to hear from you -- to hear about how you could develop your God-given talents in a community of OBU musician/artists driven to perform with excellence. We hope you will choose a path which brings you to Bison Hill. Please call or e-mail today to set up an audition or campus visit.

The Division of Music develops artists and scholars uniquely positioned to thrive in the 21st-century by integrating exceptional performance, academic, and service opportunities with a solid Christian liberal arts foundation. These are our goals -- to integrate exceptional performance, academic, and service opportunities within OBU's uniquely Christian context, and to provide these opportunities to you.
