Duplication Services are available for classroom projects or personal projects as long as the request meets Copyright Law guidelines. Audio recordings may be transferred to CD or cassette from their original formats. Video recordings may be transferred to VHS or DVD. Classroom-related orders may be charged to a departmental account.
CD and Score Collection
Faculty requests are the primary guide for collection development for the Mabee Learning Center. Music recordings and scores are requested through the Media Services Supervisor. Other materials are requested through Library Acquisitions, and can be reached at 405-585-4521.
LC Reserve shelves are maintained primarily for music-related classes. However, AV materials may also be placed on reserve, since TV set-ups are available for viewing in the Listening Center/Media Center.
Music & Media Materials
Most Music and Media Materials may be checked out by faculty for a semester with one renewal. The exceptions are the popular CDs designated as the item type soundrec2. These are principally gift CDs which are for leisure listening. They have a two-week check-out period.
Naxos Music Library
The Naxos Music Library professor’s password may be obtained from the Media Services Supervisor in order to create listening lists for students.
Overhead projectors are purchased by Media Services for classrooms on campus. Bulbs are purchased and replaced by Media Services. Call or e-mail the Media Services Supervisor if you have any problems.
TV, DVD & VHS
TV/DVD/VHS set-ups are in several locations in the Mabee Learning Center. You may watch videos in the small rooms in the Listening Center/Media Center. There are two viewing rooms in the basement. The keys can be checked out at the first floor Circulation Desk. Then, there are carrels in the basement near the elevator which contain video equipment.
