Biography
Rachel came to OBU in the fall of 2015 and began working with the Global Outreach Center the next summer when she led an OBU team to Switzerland & Germany. In 2019 she joined the GO Center staff full time. Rachel has extensive cross-cultural experience having traveled to fourteen different countries on five continents, including eight times to Ecuador, four times to Israel, and three times to Egypt. She has a passion for leadership and has used her short-term trip experiences to grow and expand her knowledge of team dynamics and student engagement in diverse cultures. She has led fifteen international trips of students with several more planned in the near future. Her greatest joy is to see students grow in their understanding of God as a God of the Nations. She encourages them to use the knowledge they gain on short-term GO Trips to feel God's presence and serve Him wherever He is calling.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys photography, genealogy, hiking, National Parks, and a good book.
