Biography
Dr. Kaiser holds degrees from The University of Arizona, The University of Texas at Arlington, and University of the Pacific. His professional experience encompasses all ensemble types at all levels of instruction, in both Texas and his native California. He is a popular clinician and guest conductor, and his presentations on curricular and pedagogical strategies for secondary-level music programs have been featured at over 20 state conferences.
An active researcher, Dr. Kaiser recently produced performance editions of five obscure marches by Frank Simon, using archival materials at the University of Arizona. In addition, his chapter on avant-garde techniques in the wind music of Charles Ives, Percy Grainger, and Edgard Varèse is included in the Handbook of Wind Music, published under the auspices of the International Society for the Research and Promotion of Wind Music.
