Check In Process
Station 1
All students will check in at Station 1—our Admissions table. This helps us ensure that your students are registered. If students have pre-registered with the Slate link, their name will be on a list. (If they did not fill out the Slate link, they are not registered and will need to fill out registration). Sponsors will drop off photo release forms for students to get an appropriate wristband.
Station 2
Sponsors and students will pick up lanyards. Green lanyards will be for sponsors and gold lanyards for students. We ask that while on campus all students and sponsors wear their lanyard. This helps appropriate staff identify who should and should not be on campus.
Station 3
Student will choose their breakout sessions. Students will choose sessions based off the categories which are Nature, Computer Science, Physics/Engineering, and Health. All students will get a Math Breakout. The student will receive a ticket that has all three breakout sessions on it. For example: if a student has 1. Nature with a Green Diamond they will make their way to the flag marked with a Diamond. (The color of the shape represents the location inside the building) The ticket will be taken at the door. Students are not to switch locations once they receive their tickets.
Flags
Once they have completed registration, they will find their flag based on Breakout 1. At the flag, an OBU chaperone will meet the students and guide them to the correct building and the correct class. Your students will have a OBU chaperone walking them to each session.
Check Out Process
Teachers and students will gather in the Oval at 12:30 p.m. for lunch. During this time, please feel free to check out the booths set up around the Oval. This is the perfect time for you and your students to ask questions and explore what OBU has to offer. At 1 p.m., our science show will begin. We ask that each group sit together at their assigned location. Signs will be on the Oval with your school’s name. At the end of the science show you will be dismissed by school; you will pick up a packet with a survey of the day and a shirt. Dismissal crew will be down at Noble parking to communicate with a crew at the Oval which school is picking up next.
A crossing guard will be available to ensure the safety of students crossing University St.
Cancellation
We will monitor the weather as the event grows closer. If there is inclement weather and we need to cancel the event, communication will be sent out via email to the sponsors and phone calls will be made to the number provided no later than 7 p.m. Thursday, October 3.
