Student to Lead Worship in Native American Heritage Chapel

Vern Charette, Oklahoma Baptist University student, will deliver the chapel address for the Native American Heritage chapel service, Nov. 15, at Oklahoma Baptist University. The service will be at 10 a.m. in the university's Raley Chapel and is open to the public.

Charette is a senior religion major with an emphasis in Bible. He is both a full-time student and a full-time evangelist, preaching revivals and leading bible studies around the state. Charettte was ordained in 1995 and has been preaching for seven years.

Charette's ministries focus primarily on work with Native Americans. He is a member of First Indian Baptist Church, Shawnee.

At OBU, he is involved with the Joe L. Ingram School of Christian Service's Ministerial Alliance organization.

Charette plans to attend seminary after he graduates from OBU in May.

Keno King and Jason French, members of Charette's worship team, will join Charette in leading worship during the service.
