Bade To Perform Clarinet Recital

Dr. Christopher Bade, Oklahoma Baptist University assistant professor of music, will perform in a faculty recital on clarinet, Thursday, Feb. 22, at 8:30 p.m., in Yarborough Auditorium.
Bade will play "Solo de Concours" by Andre Messager, "Andante et Scherzo" by Marcel Gennaro, "Parto! ma tu ben mio" from La Clemenza di Tito by Wolfgang A. Mozart, "Four Sonatas" by Domenico Scarlatti, and "Fantasia and Rondo" by Karl Maria von Weber during the evening performance.
He will be assisted on piano by Dr. Carol Bell, associate professor of piano; Dr. Ann Milliman Gipson, associate professor of piano; Keith Whitmore, staff accompanist; Caleb Harris, junior piano performance major; and by soprano Rhetta Hudson, associate professor of music.
Bade earned a bachelor of music education degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, a master of music degree from the University of Akron, and a doctorate of musical arts degree from the University of Illinois.
He is active as a soloist, clinician, and adjudicator. He plays frequently in the Tulsa Philharmonic, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and Enid Symphony orchestras. Recently he and his wife, Michelle, served as interim choir directors at First Christian Church, Shawnee. They have two children.
