Clark, Sanders To Perform in Concert

Dr. Don Clark, Oklahoma Baptist University associate professor of music, and Alice Brooks Sanders, director of music at United Presbyterian Church, will feature classical twentieth century British music during their joint recital, Monday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Yarborough Auditorium.
Clark, a baritone, and Sanders, a pianist, will be assisted by violinist Sharon Clark Jackson.
Musical selections for the evening include works by renowned twentieth century English composers Benjamin Britten, Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughn Williams and Gerald Finzi. Individual selections include, "Earth and Air and Rain" "Holiday Diary" and "Songs of Travels" and "Mystical Songs."
Clark received a bachelor music degree from OBU, a master of music degree from Peabody College of Vanderbilt, and a doctorate of musical arts from the University of Oklahoma.
Sanders received her bachelor's of music degree from Baylor University and her master's of music degree from OU. She maintains a private studio in addition to her work at the church.
Jackson is serving in her tenth year as violinist for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra. She is an adjunct faculty member at Cameron University and OBU. She received bachelor's and master's degrees of music from OU.
Dr. Kristen Stauffer, OBU assistant professor of music, will be giving a pre-concert lecture at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel.
