Jenks Pastor to Speak in Chapel

Dr. Glenn Plum, pastor of First Baptist Church in Jenks, will be the Feb. 28 chapel speaker at Oklahoma Baptist University. The 10 a.m. service will be in the university's Raley Chapel.
Plum began his ministry in Jenks in 1988 after pastoring churches in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Ohio.
During his career, he has worked in overseas ministries in India, Poland, South Korea and Western and Eastern Europe. Plum was the first academic dean of the India Theological Seminary in Karnataka, India, and has traveled to that country five times on teaching and preaching trips.
Plum is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians and incorporates both magic and chalk art programs into his ministry.
He currently serves on the Missions Committee for the Tulsa Metro Baptist Association and on the board of directors for the DaySpring Villa, a shelter for homeless and abused women.
He received his bachelor's degree from Otterbein College, his master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and his doctor of ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary.
He and his wife, Carol, have three children. Their youngest daughter, Rebecca, is a freshman at OBU.
