Dr. Tom Eliff
Dr. Tom Elliff, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Del City for more than 15 years, will lead Oklahoma Baptist University's Oct. 3 chapel service.
Elliff is a third generation Southern Baptist pastor and has led crusades and conferences across the United States and in Kenya, Tanzania, Germany and Australia and 11 other countries.
He has served in a variety of Baptist association, state and national positions, including two terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Several of his articles and books have been published - his most recent, A Passion for Prayer, in 1998.
Elliff received his bachelor's degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a master's of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has received three honorary doctorates from Southwestern Baptist University, Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College and American Christian College.
He is married to Jeannie, and they have four grown children and 14 grandchildren.
