Lang to Speak in Chapel

Oklahoma Baptist University will welcome Dr. Wendell Lang as the Wednesday chapel speaker Sept. 26. He serves as pastor of First Baptist Church in Pryor.
Lang is a member of the OBU's board of trustees and was elected president of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma in 2000.
He is an avid writer, contributing a weekly column to the Prior Daily Times, creating various ministry tracts and working on the book "The Biblical Role and Function of Deacons and Elders."
Lang received his bachelor's degree in religion from OBU in 1978. He received a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry degree from Phillips University.
He is married to Pamela, and they two have children, Lance and Leah.
OBU's chapel services are at 10 a.m. in the university's Raley Chapel.
