Cope to speak at Native American Chapel

Oklahoma Baptist University will celebrate Native American heritage as a part of its weekly chapel service, Nov. 14. The program will feature evangelist Victor Cope.

Cope, a bi-vocational pastor, serves as the Title IX Indian Education director for Tecumseh Public Schools. He also has served as pastor of Sallateeska Indian Baptist Church and Moore First Indian Baptist Church.

Cope has been executive director of the Indian Falls Creek Baptist Assembly and has worked for the Oklahoma Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma as chairman of the Native American Task Force.

He is a 1979 graduate of OBU.

He and his wife, Liz, have two daughters, Chelsea and Madison.
