Kelly to Lead Winter Bible Study Clinic Friday

October 25, 2004

Led by Dr. Bobby Kelly, Ruth Dickinson associate professor of Bible, the clinic is free to pastors or other church staff who will be leading the Winter Bible Study in their church. There is a $5.50 charge for lunch, which may be paid at the door.

A study of Mark is timely since there is a general interest in the historical Jesus, with staggering successes of films such as "The Passion of the Christ," prompting even nonbelievers into discussions about the life of Jesus.

Kelly joined the OBU faculty in 1997 and specializes in Greek and New Testament. In 2000, he was awarded the University's Promising Teacher Award. He is a graduate of Clear Creek Baptist College in Kentucky, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He received his master's and Ph.D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
