Bison Drop 7-4 Game to Bellevue

The Bruins jumped to a 2-0 lead on a two-run home run in the second inning by Jason Clark, but the Bison tied the game in the bottom of the second on RBI singles by Aaron Dickson and Frankie Ibarra.

A.J. Sostich clouted another Bellevue two-run home run in the third to make it a 4-2 game and the Bruins went up 5-2 with a run in the fourth on an error.

OBU trimmed the deficit to 5-3 in the fifth when Nick Bakich scored on a wild pitch.

BU scored a runs off reliever Wes Moreland in the eighth and ninth on RBI singles by Blake Bussen and J.P. LaPointe.

OBU got a run in the eighth on an RBI single by Dickson. Dickson had two hits in the game to lead the five-hit offense.

Tabor Woolard absorbed the loss for the Bison, who dip to 11-4 on the season. Dan Burkhart started and got the win for the Bruins, making more than 130 pitches in his seven-inning outing.

The same two teams hook up for another nine-inning game Wednesday, beginning at 2 p.m.
