OCU Takes Two from Lady Bison

Oklahoma Baptist got plenty of hitting but couldn't keep up with Oklahoma City, losing Tuesday 11-7 and 11-2.

The Lady Bison fell behind quickly in both games.

After taking a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Sandralina Rones in the first inning of the opener, OBU fell behind 7-1 after OCU's half of the frame.

The Lady Bison rallied for six runs in the fourth inning on a three-run home run by Brett Swofford, a two-run home run by Katy Thurber and an RBI single by Allison Ramzy.

OBU had nine hits in the game, including three by Ramzy and two by Melissa Martinez.

In the second game, OBU had eight hits, including a two-run single by Ramzy. Ramzy and Thurber had two hits apiece in the game.

OBU, now 16-9 overall and 5-5 in the SAC, will host Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday before hosting Oklahoma Wesleyan and Bellevue this weekend.
