Bethel High School standout Ashley Thomason has signed to play softball at Oklahoma Baptist University.
Thomason, who was recently named All-State after BHS captured the State 5A titles this spring, will come to OBU as a freshman outfielder.
"Ashley played shortstop her senior season," said OBU Coach Pam Fink. "She has a lot of versatility and can cover a lot of ground in the outfield. I think she's going to be a great fit here as a student athlete."
Thomason has been on the Superintendent's Honor Roll for four years and is a member of Who's Who, the Oklahoma High School Honor Society, National Honor Society and the National Honor Roll. She also is an academic letterman.
Thomason, the daughter of Randy and Marcia Thomason, said she chose OBU for its "academic excellence, athletics and Christian environment."
