Three Oklahoma Baptist University baseball players captured postseason honors Thursday.
Senior outfielders Felix Peguero and Danny Guidry were named NAIA All-America honorable mention, while junior first baseman Rett Terrell was named an NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete.
Peguero, a right fielder from Riverdale, Md., batted .315 for the season with a team-best 18 home runs and 74 RBI. He established a new single-season record for home runs in a season and was just five off the record for RBI.
Guidry, a center fielder from Crowley, La., led the Bison with a .368 bating average with 14 home runs and 70 RBI. He set a school single season record with nine triples on the season and had a team-best .709 slugging percentage.
Terrell, who played in 65 games and started 63, received the academic honor, majoring in recreation administration. The All-America Scholar Athlete requires a 3.5 overall grade point average, junior or senior class standing and a significant contribution to the team.
