OBU Named to The Princeton Review "Best in the West" list

Article Date

Oklahoma Baptist University is one of 122 schools receiving The Princeton Review's "Best in the West" designation, based on the publication's student opinion data from a total of 646 schools.

"We believe these schools uphold the standards of our 'Best Western College' distinction and provide students with a wide breadth of excellent schools to consider," said Robert Franek, publisher and editorial director for the annual publication. "The annual update of our 'Best Western College' distinction generates a surge of attention, awareness and discussion of colleges featured as the best in the nation, from both the news media and the highly coveted audience of parents and students."

OBU is one of six schools from the state of Oklahoma receiving this merit. Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma State University, Oral Roberts University, the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa also made the list.

This recognition follows U.S. News & World Report ranking OBU as the top comprehensive college in Oklahoma, according to the news magazine's annual listing of "America's Best Colleges." OBU has been listed among the magazine's top 10 comprehensive colleges in the West for 14 years in a row, and for 16 of the past 17 years.
