Bison Trim Chargers 6-4

February 26, 2008

The game's only extra-base hit came from OBU's new home run hitter Josh Collazo. Collazo ripped an opposite-field home run - his 10th of the season - to right field to start the sixth inning.

OBU broke out for two runs in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by Mason RFeilly and a sacrifice fly by Collazo.

The Bison made it 6-0 in the sixth on Collazo's solo shot to the visitors bullpen, an RBI single by Frank Avilla, a sacrifice fly by Cody Lambeth and a bases-loaded hit by pitch for Reilly.

The Chargers scored four times in the top of the seventh off Andrew Dickson with two bases loaded walks and a two-run single by Matt Lee.

Brent Robison pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his first save.

Spencer Hylander (2-0) and White Barkley tossed the first six innings, shutting out the Chargers on one hit and seven walks.

OBU was held to just six hits in the game with Reilly leading the way with two.

Now 16-1 on the season, OBU returns to Sooner Athletic Conference action Friday and Saturday at home with No. 7 Lubbock Christian.
