OC Sweeps OBU Netters

Oklahoma Christian made it a season sweep of OBU in men's tennis and a split in women's tennis by taking both matches Saturday, 7-2 in men's and 5-4 in women's action.

Gustavo Schaefer was the bright spot for the Oklahoma Baptist men's team, taking his No. 4 singles match over Adalid Martinez, 6-2, 6-4, and pairing with Bruno Scacalossi for a No. 1 doubles win, 8-6, over Justin DeBruin and Derek Viljoen.

The Lady Eagles avenged an earlier loss with the win Saturday.

Samantha Attard was the only Lady Bison to win both doubles and singles. She defeated Jennifer Le in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 7-5, and beat Le and Gabriela Nasatasa with her No. 1 doubles partner Brittney Byrd, 8-3.

Brooke Mowery won in No. 5 singles, knocking off Callie Draelos, 6-1, 6-2, while Kaitlin Pascucci claimed No. 6 singles over Piper Johnson, 6-2, 7-5.

The Lady Bison play at Southern Nazarene Thursday and both teams are at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Friday.
