Oklahoma Baptist opens the Sooner Athletic Conference softball tournament Friday at Hall of Fame Stadium against St. Gregory's.
The Lady Bison are 22-32 on the season and lost all four games to St. Gregory's this season. The Lady Cavaliers feature All-America pitcher Sharon Bell, a junior who broke the NAIA career strikeout record this season. SGU is 45-10 and ranked sixth in the nation.
OBU is the No. 7 seed, while St. Gregory's is the No. 2.
The winner takes on the Lubbock Christian-Oklahoma Christian winner at 2 p.m. while the loser battles that game's loser at 2 p.m. The first day concludes with two losers bracket games at 7 p.m.
Other first round match-ups pair top-seeded Oklahoma City with USAO and fourth-seeded Northwestern Oklahoma State with Rogers State.
Action resumes at noon Saturday and the championship begins at 6 p.m.
