OBU Alum Receives Hebrew Award

September 5, 2008

"My experience at OBU has allowed me to thrive at Truett," said Miller, a 2006 OBU graduate. "The Biblical Languages degree gave me the foundation that I needed to explore even deeper into Scripture in my time at seminary.

"The more I interact with students from other schools who have religion backgrounds, the more I understand that the education I received at the OBU religion department is second to none. I am grateful for my time at OBU."

The Hebrew Award is one of three annual awards given by Truett faculty, including the Greek and Preaching awards.

The recipient of the Hebrew Award must be enrolled in a Hebrew class and is voted upon by Truett faculty members. During the 2007-2008 school year, Miller worked as a Hebrew tutor and graduate assistant to Truett's associate dean, Dr. Dennis Tucker, and was enrolled in a Hebrew Reading Course.
