School of Business Recognized as 'Star Chapter'

September 18, 2008

Delta Mu Delta is the honor society for the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. It serves as the professional accreditation body for OBU's business school. OBU's Theta Kappa Chapter will be recognized at the next Triennial National Meeting of Delta Mu Delta.

"OBU's Paul Dickinson School of Business is honored to have been designated as a Star Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society," said Dr. Kyle Tresch, OBU's dean of the school of business. "Delta Mu Delta's motto is 'Through Knowledge, Power - the power to manage creatively for social and economic good.'

"Being awarded the designation as a Star Chapter is reflective of the outstanding efforts of OBU's member students, their faculty advisor Dr. Keith Harman, and our collective commitment to see OBU's school of business make a powerful and positive impact on the community and in the world," Tresch said.

The Star Chapter Awards provide recognition to all chapters that meet or exceed national standards for operation and administration of their chapter.

Delta Mu Delta was founded by the Dean from Harvard University and four professors from Yale University and New York University in November 1913. Delta Mu Delta, DMD, was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1952.
