Scott Harris Named Grad School Director

Oklahoma Baptist University has named Dr. Scott Harris as director of the university's International Graduate School, an Oklahoma City-based campus which offers graduate degrees in business administration and nursing.
Harris earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma; a master's degree in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary; and a doctor of philosophy degree from the University of North Texas.
Harris has served in administrative and leadership roles in education and ministry roles for most of his career. He moves to OBU from Plano Christian Academy, where he served as headmaster from 2004-08. He also was the academy's upper school instructor for one year. He served as minister of education at Northlake Baptist Church in Garland, Texas; in small group leadership with Dallas Theological Seminary's Center for Leadership; as director of Campus Crusade for Christ at Louisiana Tech University; and as a Campus Crusade staff member at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
"We are blessed to have Dr. Harris joining the OBU family," said Dr. Stan Norman, OBU provost and executive vice president for campus life. "His experiences, coupled with his doctor of philosophy degree in higher education, have uniquely and suitably prepared him to serve as director of our International Graduate School.
"Under his capable leadership, we are confident that our graduate programs will continue to be academically excellent, professionally relevant and distinctively Christian."
