The recital program will include works by composers such as Brahms, Bach, Chopin, Mozart and Liszt.

She is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota international music fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society and Mortar Board (Pi Sigma Alpha) senior honor society. She served as vice-president of ritual for the Alpha Eta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota from 2008-10.

Thompson's accomplishments include performing in OBU's 36th annual Concerto-Aria Concert and in master classes featuring pianists Di Wu, Barbara Lister-Sink, Robert Weirich and Nelita True. Thompson is the winner of the Nancy Niels Scholarship Audition from the Norman Alumnae chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. She also has taught classes through OBU's Preparatory Department and served as accompanist for the Bison Glee Club.
