Heartland Worship 2024 Unites Worship Leaders at OBU for a Day of Inspiration and Fellowship

October 7, 2024

Worship ministry leaders from across the heartland gathered on October 5 for the Heartland Worship 2024 event at OBU. The full-day conference, designed to equip and inspire worship leaders, brought together pastors, musicians, and ministry leaders for a series of powerful sessions, collaborative workshops and a culminating evening concert.

“What an incredible inaugural year for Heartland Worship,” said Matt Roberson, Heartland Visionary, Director, OBU Worship. “We saw just over 150 people joining us from all over Oklahoma, Texas and even into Kansas. I firmly believe the Lord’s name was honored and that his people were each challenged in unique ways.  The Worship Initiative really set the stage for the future of this conference and its vision – meaningful relationships, spiritual formation, and inspirational content aimed at helping shape the face of worship in the local church.”

The event kicked off with sessions that focused on practical insights into worship leadership, led by some of the most respected voices in the field. A key highlight was the main session led by artist and vocalist Robbie Seay, whose message uplifted and encouraged attendees with both spiritual and practical insights. Participants also benefited from the expert guidance of The Worship Initiative, which offered valuable training on worship leadership.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in various workshops and electives tailored to explore topics such as music, technology, and the broader aspects of worship ministry. A popular workshop centered on the concept of “Experience Craftsmanship,” where leaders discussed new perspectives on how to cultivate meaningful worship experiences for their congregations.

Beyond the learning opportunities, the conference served as a valuable networking platform for participants to connect with fellow pastors and worship leaders, exchanging ideas and strategies to strengthen their ministries.

The day concluded with the much-anticipated “Worship Night” concert, where participants united in prayer, praise, and worship. The evening provided a refreshing and spiritually enriching experience, leaving attendees recharged and inspired to bring new energy and practical strategies back to their local churches.

Heartland Worship 2024 offered a unique opportunity for worship leaders to renew their passion for worship, deepen their knowledge, and engage with peers in a supportive and uplifting environment. With a focus on practical leadership, creativity, and community, the event is poised to continue as a cornerstone gathering for worship leaders in the heartland.
