We make an education at OBU affordable with many scholarship opportunities, including several full-tuition scholarships and even scholarships exclusive to students majoring in degrees from Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry.
Incoming Freshmen Scholarships
OBU automatically awards three annual scholarships to incoming Theology and Ministry freshmen based on academic achievement or demonstrated need.

Transfer Student Scholarships

Scholarships listed are applicable for students entering OBU for the first time during the 2023-24 academic year. Students must enroll full-time to qualify. Some scholarships may not be applicable for student athletes, full-tuition scholarship recipients, or students currently receiving the employee education benefit.
Theology and Ministry Scholarships
Incoming Freshmen and Upperclassmen
Prichard Scholarship
$3,500 per year is provided to every student enrolled in Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry.
Missions Fellowship
$1,000 per year is offered for every incoming Cross-Cultural Ministry or Global Marketplace Engagement major. The scholarship is continued upon active participation in the Tom Elliff Center for Missions program.
Ministry Alliance
$1,000 per year is offered for every incoming Christian Ministry, Biblical and Theological Studies, or Philosophy and/or Apologetics major. The scholarship is continued upon active participation in the Ministry Alliance.
Upperclassmen Scholarships
Approximately $65,000 to $75,000 in endowed scholarships are awarded to continuing Hobbs students each year. Students who apply and qualify may receive anywhere from $500-$1,000. The awarded amount varies depending on qualification and need.
