Registration

Registration Information

Access to registration, either online or in person, begins with seniors, honors, and graduate level students. Classification for registration is determined by your overall hours earned plus your current enrolled Spring 2025 hours.

If you experience an issue that cannot be resolved during registration, please contact the Academic Center at 405.585.5100.

Additional Registration Information

Hold Information

  1. It is possible you have a 'Balance Due Account Hold' on your account. Please contact your Financial Aid counselor to resolve this hold.
  2. All student athletes have an athletic hold instructing you to contact the Academic Center.  This hold WILL NOT stop you from adding/dropping classes during the initial registration period.
  3. VA students have a ''Veteran's Benefit Hold' on your account.  This hold WILL NOT stop you from adding/dropping classes during the initial registration period.

Current Students to Review Holds

  1. Log in to Self Service Banner
  2. Click on the Student tab and follow this path: Student tab > View Institutional Holds > Click here to resolve holds
  3. Affirm your understanding of the documents by clicking the acknowledgement boxes and then click submit.
  4. If no other holds exist on your account, the registration window of Self Service Banner will open immediately after you have cleared the hold(s). However, you may not register for classes until your registration period opens.

Registration Opening Dates

Students may register online or in person in the Academic Center beginning at 7:30 a.m. starting on the dates below according to their status. (Note: hours earned includes current classes.)

Graduate Students April 1
Honors Program Students April 1
Current Seniors (90 or more hours) April 1
Current Juniors (60–89 hours) April 2
Current Sophomores (30–59 hours) April 3
Current Freshmen (0–29 hours) April 4

Online Schedule

The Academic Center will send email alerts regarding registration information. All changes to the database and all closed classes will be reflected on the online schedule in Self Service Banner. The email alerts are sent to all active OBU email accounts.
