Forms
Leadership will be responsible for the forms below. Every participant will need to fill out a waiver of Liability.Membership
Membership in a club sport is open to all full-time undergraduate students of OBU. Students involved in club sports are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0, and are to remain in good standing with the University. Failure to meet these requirements may result in temporary or permanent removal from the club sport team.
Membership Dues
A club may choose to establish a membership due that all members must pay. Clubs set the membership due amount and are to cover association memberships, additional apparel, some travel costs, and some officiating costs. Each club may choose to increase membership dues to cover additional cost for their specific sport. Club teams will be responsible for their individual travel to competitions and tournaments. In addition to club dues, clubs raise funds through fundraising events, sponsorships, and requests to the Student Government Association.
Schedule
Competition and practices vary between clubs. Student leadership and the team coach/sponsor are responsible for developing the competition and practices schedule for their club, and are to submit their proposed schedule to the Office of Intramural and Club Sports no later the end of the spring semester. Time commitments vary between 2-10 hours per week which may include practice, games, tournaments, meetings, and leadership development opportunities.
Try-outs
There will be open try-outs at the beginning of the fall semester. See the club sport tables at Un Cuerpo (club/organization fair) during Welcome Week and look for Club Sports Day at Engage Week (week-long informative event takes place a few weeks into the semester).
