Email Signatures

This tool will allow you to create an OBU-branded signature for your University email account. Please read these instructions before using the tool.

Instructions

While the signature tool will work on a wide variety of devices, we can only provide support for Outlook on the Web and desktop apps. If using another app or device, please ensure the signature looks exactly like the displayed preview before using.

  1. Use the link at the bottom of this page to open up the signature tool. Answer each question to customize your signature.
  2. When complete, follow the instructions at the end to copy your signature.
  3. Open your email app and create a new signature. Paste in the copied signature into the editor and save your changes. Specific instructions will vary from app to app:
Now your custom email signature will be available any time you compose a new message in that app.

Notes

  • This tool has been tested and will work in the most recent versions of Chrome, Safari and Edge. Firefox will not work properly with the signature tool and is not a supported browser for setup purposes only.
    • If you use Firefox to access your OBU email, you must use a different browser to create your signature. Once that is done, you may return to Firefox to complete setup and save the signature in your emails.
  • This tool is specifically designed to create signatures for use in Outlook on the web and Outlook's Windows and macOS apps. While many other apps will work with these signatures, we cannot offer assistance with any issues that arise from using other apps.
    • The signatures will still display correctly to anyone receiving your emails, no matter the app they use.
    • If you paste your signature into an email app and it does not look identical to what you previewed in the signature tool, please do not use it. This includes fonts, font colors, text size and the spacing between lines of text.
