Elijah’s Mantle

This year-long mentoring program pairs OBU male business students with a businessperson in order to make meaningful connections in the business world.

Founded in 2017, Elijah's Mantle is an opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals and receive mentorship and guidance that will enhance their future careers. The program often includes business professionals from various areas of specialty who, in many cases, are OBU alumni.

This valuable partnership further enhances OBU relationships between students, alumni and the business community at large.

Julie Blackstone Memorial Scholarship

Julie Marks Blackstone was a beloved professor of art at OBU. Her creativity, artistry, and care for students made her a special friend, faculty mentor and colleague to many. In the classroom and labs, and all across the region and state, she created vibrant and beautiful works which inspired others.

A scholarship has been created in Blackstone’s honor recognizing the tremendous impact she has made in students’ life and their love for art. Gifts to this fund will allow OBU to continue her legacy and benefit a deserving art student through an annual award.

Renew Raley Chapel

OBU is in the midst of a once-in-a-century era of renewal as we join efforts to renew Raley Chapel. The overwhelming and extensive damage to Raley Chapel from the April 19, 2023 tornado included its spire, tiled roof, stonework, ceiling, stained glass and seating inside Potter Auditorium. Yet with vision and hope, we will rebuild this beloved building with greater fortitude and faith than ever before. We invite you to join us in our efforts to Renew Raley and continue its legacy of transforming lives and hearts on Bison Hill.

Prison Divinity Program

Oklahoma Baptist University, Oklahoma Baptists and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections are partners in a historic endeavor in Oklahoma. OBU is offering a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies to inmates in an Oklahoma prison. Upon completion of their degrees, these men will be sent as Field Ministers to other prisons across the state. This element of equipping and sending inmates to minister to fellow inmates is a unique educational opportunity for those incarcerated.

Visiting Writer Seminars

The Visiting Writer Seminars are held each year through the Division of Language and Literature. This enriching activity brings accomplished and contemporary guest writers to campus to engage and elevate the writing experience for students and the campus community. It broadens students learning, creativity and skills through exposure to various writers. We value your support in continuing to provide these opportunities for enrichment to our students.
